We are committed to a sustainable foundation as a pivotal strategy.
We work to achieve sustainable development in all our operations and programs to achieve results within a frame work of indicators to measure the quality of performance.
This is reflected on the implementation and management of all our programs. It is centered on social development in parallel: with the work to reduce the environmental impact and continuous to communicate with the foundation on any of the cooperative fields or any or point of views.
The proposals of waqfeya is one of the most important missions of success and improving our performance threw accomplishing a special sustainable achievement that helps in the improvement of our society.

Our Story
Waqfeyet ElMaadi community Foundation was established on May 13, 2007 (No. 6940) as a pilot model for the first community institution in Egypt
The Waqf aims to improve the standard of living of the residents of the same neighborhood by organizing civil work and reviving the community endowment as a model for sustainable development.
The Waqf encourages donors to invest and direct the tender for development and to enable the less fortunate to be self-reliant, to live in freedom and dignity and to have a sense of social justice.
The Waqf Foundation directs the civil donation of Zakat and charity or tithing in the informal areas of individuals and associations most in need to improve the standard of living and reduce the gap between members of one community through the following programs.
The programs are determined on the basis of a five-year plan by the Board of Trustees of the endowment with the participation of the community and employees of the Foundation.
The promotion and dissemination of the concept of sustainable development and the participation of stakeholders increase the impact of sustainable development and the organization of volunteer work and its application in order to serve the community.

Our History
2007
The beginning of everything
Waqfeyat Al-Maadi Community Foundation was established to revive and modernize the Waqf (endowment) concept as a channel for sustainable development in Al-Maadi and neighboring areas.
2014
Article 90 is added to the Egyptian constitution
Article 90 is added to the Egyptian constitution, which encourages using the Waqf system to establish and sponsor scientific, cultural, health, and social institutions and ensures their independence.
2020
Ostawat
Ostawat, a pioneering initiative designed for vulnerable communities, especially women, was launched to develop the skills of informal vocational workers and train them in different vocations, such as carpentry, metalwork, agriculture, plumbing, and textile manufacturing.
2023
Waqfeyat Misr Foundation
Waqfeyat Al-Maadi Community Foundation transforms into the Waqfeyat Misr Foundation and continues to use the Waqf (endowment) concept as a catalyst for sustainable development and economic empowerment in Egypt.
